Descripción
El Festival Internacional de Cine de Ciudad Madero (FICCMA), convoca a productores y
realizadores mexicanos e internacionales para que inscriban sus cortometrajes y
largometrajes a la 8tava° Edición del Festival, que se llevara a cabo del 21 al 24 de
Noviembre de 2024.

Madero City International Film Festival (FICCMA), opens admissions for international
producers and filmmakers to submit their short films to the festival’s 8th edition, which
will take place from November 21 to 24 of 2024.
Awards y Prizes
Los cortometrajes y largometrajes seleccionados tendrán su estreno en la programación
del festival, mismos que competirán por los premios. La Ceremonia de Entrega de Premios
FICCMA será el 24 de noviembre de 2024.
Los cortometrajes seleccionados, tanto competencias como muestras, estarán alojados en
la plataforma Wahu Streaming, todo el mes de noviembre.

The selected short films will have their premiere in the festival’s program and will also
compete for the awards. The FICCMA Awards Ceremony will be on November 24, 2024.
Reglas
La convocatoria inicia del 15 de Enero al 31 de Julio del 2024 con un costo de inscripción
para los cortometrajes y largometrajes.
El 10 de Octubre de 2024 a las 10:00 horas, se revelarán los cortometrajes y largometrajes
seleccionados en nuestras redes sociales.
Los proyectos seleccionados en competencia, participarán por las estatuillas a las siguientes
categorías:
MEJOR LARGOMETRAJE NACIONAL
(Para esta categoría participaran largometrajes nacionales de ficción).
MEJOR LARGOMETRAJE DE ANIMACIÓN
(Para esta categoría participaran largometrajes nacionales de animación)
MEJOR LARGOMETRAJE DOCUMENTAL.
(Para esta categoría participaran largometrajes nacionales de documental)
MEJOR CORTOMETRAJE NACIONAL
(Para esta categoría participarán cortometrajes de ficción)
MEJOR CORTOMETRAJE TAMAULIPECO
(Para esta categoría únicamente participarán cortometrajes de Tamaulipas).
MEJOR CORTOMETRAJE ESTUDIANTIL
(Para esta categoría únicamente participarán estudiantes de preparatoria y/ó universidad).
MEJOR MICRO CORTOMETRAJE

SELECCIÓN OFICIAL
El comité del festival seleccionará los cortometrajes que serán parte de la programación de
la séptima edición del FICCMA que tiene diferentes secciones en muestra.
SECCIONES EN MUESTRA
Ventanas a la ficción
(Muestra de cortometrajes nacionales e internacionales con temática libre)
Pantalla Arcoiris
(Muestra de cortometrajes nacionales e internacionales de temática de diversidad)
Mujeres detrás de la cámara
(Muestra de cortometrajes nacionales e internacionales, realizados por directoras)
REGLAS:
1 .- Todos los cortometrajes y largometrajes de habla hispana que sean seleccionados
deberán incluir subtítulos en inglés.
2.- Los cortometrajes internacionales que participen en cualquiera de las categorías, deben
tener subtítulos en español, sin excepción.
3- Los cortometrajes seleccionados deberán tener una duración máxima de 20 minutos con
créditos incluidos. Sin embargo, los micro cortometrajes deberán tener como máximo una
duración de 3 minutos. De no seguir las reglas, serás descalificado.
4.- Los realizadores deberán enviar sus cortometrajes y largometrajes a través de la
plataforma de FilmFreeway y Festhome.
El costo de la inscripción para cortometrajes es de $10 dolares
El costo de la inscripción para largometrajes es de $20 dolares
5.- Cualquier cortometraje y largometraje detectado que esté disponible para el público en
internet, quedará descalificado.
6.- La persona encargada de la inscripción, se hará responsable, por todos los derechos de
autor que converjan al cortometraje y largometraje
7.- Podrán participar cortometrajes y largometrajes que hayan terminado su producción a
partir del 2022 hasta el 2024.
8.- La convocatoria cierra el 31 de Agosto del 2024 a las 23:59 horas (horario Central
México).

The call will be from January 15 to August 31, 2024 with a registration fee for short films
(except for the Tamaulipas Student Short Film category).
On October 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., the selected short films will be revealed on our social
networks.
The nominees will participate for the prizes in the following categories:
BEST NATIONAL FEATURE FILM
(National fiction feature films will participate in this category).
BEST ANIMATION FEATURE FILM
(National animated feature films will participate in this category)
BEST DOCUMENTARY FEATURE FILM.
(National documentary feature films will participate in this category)
BEST TAMAULIPECO SHORT FILM
(For this category, only short films from Tamaulipas will participate).
BEST STUDENT SHORT FILM
(For this category, only high school and/or university students).

(For this category, international short films can participate. Free themes, fiction, animation
and documentary. If it is in another language, it must have subtitles in Spanish.)

The festival committee will select the short films that will be part of the program for the
seventh edition of FICCMA, which has different sections on display.

RULES:
1.- All Spanish-language short films and Feature Films that are selected must include English
subtitles.
2.- International short films that participate in any of the categories must have subtitles in
Spanish, without exception.
3- The selected short films must have a maximum duration of 20 minutes with credits
included. However, micro short films must have a maximum duration of 3 minutes. If you
don’t follow the rules, you will be disqualified.
4.- Filmmakers must send their short films and feature films through the FilmFreeway and
Festhome platform.
The registration cost for short films is $10 dollars.
The registration fee for feature films is $20 dollars.
5.- Any short film detected that is available to the public on the internet will be disqualified.
6.- The person in charge of registration will be responsible for all copyrights that apply to
the short film and feature film.
7.- Short films and Feature Films that have finished their production from 2022 to 2024
may participate.
8.- The call closes on August 31 of this year at 11:59 p.m. (Central Mexico time).
